Is National Home Services licensed to service and install water heaters in Ontario?

National is a fully licensed natural gas water heater rental company and is a TSSA registered contractor. We are fully compliant with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), previously the Fuels Safety Branch of the former Ontario Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations. How do I know which water heater to choose for my home?

Along with National's commitment to customer satisfaction guaranteed, we also pride ourselves on our ability to educate our customers. We feel that a customer cannot be fully satisfied if they are not completely informed of the choices available for their particular household requirements. Therefore, National has included an abundance of information and charts on the website to educate and inform all customers of the different size water heater tanks and how to decide which water heater is most appropriate for your home.

Why should I rent my water heater?

The benefit of renting a water heater is that it is worry-free. You can maintain your water heater at a low monthly rental charge. You also have priority access to our network of service technicians to ensure faster resolution of problems.

What should I expect on installation day?

National Home Services wants to ensure that you and other occupants of the home are ready for installation. Please watch this short video to answer any questions you may have.

What are the advantages of tankless water heaters?

Tankless water heaters provide an instant, endless supply of hot water. These systems do not require a holding tank because they function on-demand. They also have a lifespan that's twice as long as traditional systems because the risk of rust and corrosion is significantly lower. Learn more

What happens to my equipment if I am moving?

If you sell the premises, the Agreement shall be transferred to the purchaser, and we will permit the purchaser to assume your rights and obligations under the Agreement, effective from the date of sale, provided that the purchaser is notified in the agreement of purchase and sale that the Water Heater/and or HVAC is rented and is subject to the terms and conditions of the Agreement. If you have moved recently, or plan on moving in the near future, please call one of Customer Care Representatives at 1-800-673-5373, or fill out the Home Transfer Form.

If you wish to have your new home equipped with National Home Service's equipment you may be eligible for up to 4 months free rental.

Why is duct cleaning important?

Neglected air ducts are likely contaminated with dirt, debris, mold, bacteria, rodents and insects. Annual duct cleanings will remove all of the filth from your air ducts, help improve the efficiency of your furnace and air conditioning systems and improve the overall quality of the air circulation in your home.
